Getting Ready for Indy Motogp Ducati Style!
366 Hotel rooms, and 1000 seats later, we're just about off to the races
Back towards the end of last year, when the plans for the Indy Motogp were announced, a couple of Ducati owners clubs thought it would be a cool idea to take advantage of the clean slate a first time event offered and we decided to coordinate a multi-club effort to get a Ducati scene happening. That was the beginning's of "Project Mugello", named after the famed Italian racetrack grandstand where they make the Ducati sign on the warm up lap. What started as a small idea has now become the biggest multi-Ducati owners club project in US history with 26 clubs on board. With a dedicated central hotel hosting the festivities and 5 nearby hotels hosting another 300 rooms full of Ducatisti plus a Ducati Island grandstand in turn two for 1000 red shirted fans, this promises to be the epicenter of the Ducati Universe for 5 days straight. It all starts at Ducati Indy on Thursday before the GP for a an open house, and ends with a Ducati Only track day on Monday. In between is packed full of owner functions at Ducati Island in the days and the DOC hotel each night. There's a Ducati Superbike Concorso, a charity Ducati guitar raffle, fashion shows, a club dinner and lots of dedicated Ducati parking lot action to keep everybody busy. To get involved (we still have some tickets left but they are going fast!) contact your nearest Ducati owners club or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
