Next weekend, Valentino Rossi returns to venture into the world of four wheels. As he had done earlier in the season, the nine-time world champion in the world of two wheels will participate in a round of the Blancpain Endurance Series . And just like in Monza , even at Nurburgring the Pesaro native will be at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 GT3 managed by Kessel Racing , sharing the cockpit with the great friend Alessio "Uccio" Salucci . During the first appearance in the series, the two managed to qualify in the top ten, having to then settle for 18th place finish, the "Doctor" but you was the protagonist of a great comeback to overcome an accident triggered by the colleague. Moreover, after this first experience Valentino had already said quite clearly that he would not let slip any opportunity to return to the wheel of the 458 and then immediately accepted this new call.

Valentino Rossi and ‘Uccio’ Salucci may have finished only 18th in the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Monza on Sunday, but taking part in the event seems to have recharged the batteries of the former World Champion after his controversial GP race in Qatar.
After Salucci’s accident during the second hour that dropped their team back to 29th, Rossi was able to wrestle back eleven positions positions that galvanized him.
“Taking part in this race was the best medicine,” said Rossi to the Gazzetta dello Sport. “I’m very glad I came. After a race like in Qatar we wanted a nice weekend on track. I drove strongly and made some good times, it was important.”...more here: http://www.twowheelsblog.com/post/9745/valentino-rossi-racing-was-the-best-medicine

The debut in the Blancpain Endurance, the Ferrari 458 team Kessel, was certainly not a walk to Valentino Rossi , who divided the wheel at Monza with his friend Uccio Salucci. The copious rain fell sull'autodromo Monza, making it much more difficult to drive in under 3 hours from the race. Tavullia The pair did not, however disfigured, started from 10th place finished in 18 th place overall, 8 th in the Pro- Am in which it was entered in a race where the Safety Car was costetta to enter multiple times on the track because of the many accidents to the asphalt slippery water.
Even the number 46 Ferrari has enjoyed some hard contact with opponents , the first time with Uccio driving and the second with Valentino, and the car was not in perfect condition for most of the race, suffering steering problems. The Doctor has also relied on his skill on four wheels and has staged a comeback in the last part of the race , after having slipped to 26 th position , clocking times very interesting and close to about two minutes from the winners, Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and Markus Palttala BMW Z4 on the Marc VDS team structure that is also involved in Moto2 World Championship...more

Ductalk Editors note: Rossi would only answer questions this weekend related to car racing so there was no discussion of anything related to MotoGP allowed.
And so far this guy has done that and he is proving his point :)

During the first round of the 2012 Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza Circuit I recorded the Ferrari 458 GT3 driven by the Moto GP legend Valentino Rossi with his friend Alessio Salucci (Uccio).
As you can see the fantastic livery of the car is the same that Valentino used on the Ford Fiesta WRC during the 2011 Monza Rally Show last November.
You can't hear the sound of the car because the 458 GT3 is really silent (the street legal 458 is louder).
