The Ducati 1199RS will be used by two BSB teams in 2012, Moto Rapido Racing and Jentin Doodson Motorsport.
Ducati UK Managing Director Tim Maccabee said: "It is incredibly exciting to have the very first 1199 Panigale Superbikes arrive here at Silverstone. It is a privilege and an honour to know that we, in the UK will be the first to race the 1199 Panigale in Superbikes anywhere in the world and BSB is the perfect stage."..more

Ducati's revolutionary 1199 Panigale superbike is now in full production and MCN was on hand to watch the first bikes being built, marking the start of a new era for the Italian firm.
Its new 1200cc V-twin, with an aluminium monocoque chassis and some of the most advanced electronics ever seen on a motorcycle, produces close to 200bhp. At the world launch last weeks MCN's senior road tester was blown away by the bike's performance and sophistication.
Ducati is already sitting on a full order book, with most of the 8000 bikes scheduled to be bult in 2012 sold - 300 of those are coming to the UK. Ducati was taking orders from around the world for the new bike before it had even been officially confirmed...More

UPDATE, 11 Feb, 15:10"We're midway through our day riding the new Panigale and it continues to impress. The 195bhp Superquadro engine is hugely impressive with just the right amount of usable torque to fly out of the corners and monster power for devouring the straights.
"Everything from the suspension, engine braking, traction control, ABS and god knows what else is adjustable, enhancing the Ducati any way you want it...more
