Did this Ducati have to die?
I’d be the first person to say that Ducati motorcycles in general are art. Of course, as we have all heard, “Art is in the eye of the beholder” but this year at Art Basel, Miami, one of the worlds largest gathering of art lovers that takes place yearly, I came across two Ducati art projects within blocks of each other. They could not have been more different.

Brooklyn-based bodypainter Trina Merry's latest work just looks like a woman riding a red motorcycle.
At first glance, Trina Merry's latest work just looks like a woman riding a red motorcycle.
But upon closer inspection, it becomes clear to see that the vehicle itself is made up of five more nude models in body paint, contorting themselves to form the exact replica of a Ducati motorbike.
The result is an incredibly realistic human sculpture, part of the Brooklyn-based bodypainter's Human Motorcycle Project.
Still laughing at the comments on the story. One guy say's "I would like to be run over by it 15 times"

Ducati 848 Clutch Lever by Dave McBride
I shoot using an LG Voyager cell phone, creating 1600×1200 jpg’s, which I edit in Photoshop. While shooting, my objective is to see the object in a new way. The cell phone camera facilitates this in being easy to place in locations not available to most cameras.
As the cell phone image is not particularly rich to start with, I create multiple layers of the same image to bring out the highlights and darks, as well as to reinforce the mid-tones, color saturation and the structure of the subject. I use a variety of filters on various layers to create a more painterly effect. I’m a huge fan of impressionist work, and I love bringing out the colors that make up what we see. I am constantly experimenting with different cameras and approaches to editing the image.
